ABOUT THE PROJECT

Back in 2021, ArkiNovus was engaged by a Tokyo-based auto firm to design and construct for them an auction house that can fit cars of different models and sizes, all imported from Japan. Despite the tight timeline and the heightened pandemic restrictions, ArkiNovus took the challenge and pushed through in completing the vehicle center within the clients requirements.

Situated inside Blue Bay Walk in Pasay City, the auction center is designed to have a seating capacity of up to 180 people whilst maintaining safe distances from incoming cars up front. Provisions of brackets for large flat-screen TVs were also provided for better viewing for seated at the back. In front, the stage for the vehicle being auctioned is intricately measured, ensuring that the tallest and widest car in the client’s inventory can fit in the center.

Noticing that the lot is in the windy part of Pasay, ArkiNovus capitalized on this advantage and applied natural ventilation solutions and deemed that air conditioning wouldn’t be necessary. This move is also in consideration of the pandemic situation, knowing at the time that the virus can spread faster in air conditioned rooms compared to naturally-ventilated ones.

Separate showers and changing rooms for males, females, and persons with disabilities are also provided. And after a hard workout, end-users are free to relax and enjoy the view of Manila through the roof deck next to the gym.
