This 13-Storey Office Building is dubbed by its owner (a government agency) as its new headquarters and a key source of government revenue by leasing commercial and office spaces to domestic and foreign investors by the year 2024.
It’s facade looks like that of the balanaghai, a pre-colonial Filipino boat which was used to carry-out the early days of commerce within and outside the Philippines. The designers see this fitting as the building, once finished, is poised to bring strategic partnerships through trade, investment, and commercial activities for the benefit of the country.
Meanwhile, it’s interiors and other features are expected to be aligned with global green and sustainability standards, as the project owner wants this building to be internationally recognized not just through trade, but also by setting an example in creating sustainable government spaces.
A 33-Storey Office Building with the same purpose is also expected to be built in the 5,000 square meter lot.
